leeds have fought but now this match had run away from them. the 18—year—old for manchester united scored another and the second game in five days was settled by two goals in 5 minutes. so it's now 21 this season for marcus rashford. who once again impressed his boss erik ten hag. he's a great attacker in my perspective. he can score with his right or his left or his head. it's about keeping the focus of over 120 minutes, if necessary, whether we play good. when he makes his good movement he would always come up with this team, come into scoring positions and it's about finishing. he has the capability to do that. earlier today the premier league's bottom club southampton have sacked their manager nathanjones afterjust three months in charge. their defeat at home to ten man wolves on saturday was a fourth in a row at st mary's.

after beating spurs 2—1, despite ella toone being sent off. they took the lead at the tottenham hotspur stadium in the second half, through a good turn and shot from leah galton. ten minutes later, bethany england was given too much space and drew spurs level but less than a minute later, molly bartrip scored an own goal to put united ahead again. ella toone was sent off for hitting out at eveliina summanen with ten minutes to go — but united say they'll appeal, as the spurs player was holding her face and replays show toone pushed her on the shoulder the reality is what i have seen from my team when we go into that second. when we don't have ella, is when we have a together connected team we fight for each other. they had to do that in the last ten minutes but it's another learning experience for us which will use going forward. in the days other fixtures. jordan nobbs scored a hat trick as aston villa thrashed brighton 6—2.

germany's francesco friedrich and his team won gold. great britain's women have comfortably beaten portugal and qualified for the fiba women's eurobasket injune. they won by 30 points in a game they needed to win convincingly to stand a chance of qualification. there were five spots remaining ahead of the game and gb were the best of the runners up across the groups. it is very good that the game was on television and i think it's good. these are the kinds of game that help a lot bring basekball into the country. i'm sure people watch that. also, on thursday, there were two good games for promotion of the game. this is great news. i'm sure that many young girls will be inspired by what they saw and would like to play basketball more and more.

the women's t20 world cup continues in south africa, and india have won their opening game against rivals pakistan by seven wickets. pakistan made 149 for four in their 20 overs. captain bismah maroof top scoring with 68. and at one point were favourites to pull off what would have been something of a shock. butjemimah rodrigues and richa ghosh got india home with six balls to spare. and, finally. it's the sporting event that brings with it so much more. super bowl 57 will not only crown the season's nfl champions. but the expected 120 million american viewers who tune in for the philadelphia eagles against the kansas city chiefs will also be watching the culmination of nearly a week of festivities in arizona. our sports correspondent nesta mcgregor is there. e. a. g. l. e. s. eagles!
